Video's of my love muffin

I'm still working on getting myself re acclimated from our vacation and work travel. At some point I might actually sit down and write a meaningful blog post... or maybe not. Until then here are some super awesome video's of my baby girl.

Feeding her baby doll.

She really missed her dog dog's while we were in Lake Powell.

Being funny right before bed.

Knee Walking like a champ!

No Time

There has been so much going on since we've returned from our Lake Powell trip that we have not had time to put up any posts about the trip, what Baines has been up to, or the house. Updates will be coming soon...

First steps!!!

Baines took her first steps tonight and it was awesome.  We're at Lake Powell now with my family.  After a day at the lake we were watching a movie and eating pizza.   Baines was holding on to the coffee  table and took 2 steps towards me.  It was so cute.  We had her do it again and this time she took 5 steps.  I'm so proud of her and it was exceptionally awesome because my family was here to share the moment.  We'll get a video soon to prove it!

11 Months

We are leaving tomorrow on our summer vacation to Lake Powell. I wanted to do a quick 11 month update on our Baby girl.

-She has 2 bottom teeth and a top one almost poking through.

-Her favorite toy is a baby doll that she has to take everywhere. She holds on to it with a death grip so you wont take it away. Its really cute.

-She hasn't started walking yet but she does try to walk on her knees. She sits up and moves her legs like she's walking just kneeling and usually waving a toy around.

- Her favorite food and word is cheese. I ask if she wants a snack she yells "CHHHEEESE".

- and of course she is still making us laugh everyday. This baby is crazy weird! And we love it!

The invitations for her first birthday party just went out. We wish all our family and friends could be there to celebrate with us but since Utah is so far away, I'll make sure to post tons of pictures. Love you all so much and here's some pictures from our 4th of July.

Door and Windows

This Saturday we were able to get three of the front windows and the French doors for the back bedroom installed. Two friends, Corey and Phill, came over and helped my dad and I with the work. Having friends help is amazing because not only can we get more work done but the day just goes by way faster.

We also had a stucco guy come out, give us a quote and provide samples. It kind of knocked me off my feet because we are only going to stucco the back 1/3 of the house; only the rear add on and his quote was $5,000 if we do all the prep work so he would just be doing the scratch, brown and color. I mean, he is really only doing three sides, 23 foot deep and 36 wide. We need to get a few more quotes but if it does cost five grand there is not much we can do but pay it.

Here are some pictures of the new windows and the new door. The two bigger windows are very dirty because they have been sitting in the back of our garage for almost 4 years. They were given to us by a friend and we knew we would one day get the chance to use them. We have not removed the front wall yet so now we've got two front walls and sets of windows 7 feet apart. The old wall will come out soon but only once the place it closed up so someone could not just walk in.

Update

The overhangs are up! We still have tons of finish work to do on them but at least the roof is there and it is almost time to call the inspector out. We also were able to get most of the stucco torn off; a few friends of mine came by the last weekend and helped pull it all down. That was a huge help because it takes forever since it is a multi-person job. We have less then a month before the inspector must be called out and I've still got a lot to do before then, hopefully he'll say it all looks good and let us start covering the roof.
