Park

Yet again I have to leave for work today. I've been gone 3 times this month so now I officially deserve the worst mother of the year award. I hate leaving... I feel like I miss out on so much. She is developing so rapidly and everyday is different.

At least I don't have to worry about Nicholas. He is such a good dad. This last week his parents were on vacation, he stayed home to watch her all week. She has a blast hanging out with him and I'm super jealous. I know he's going to be the fun parent since I always work. Boo!!!

Anyways, I have to enjoy the moments I do get so we squeezed in as much fun as we could yesterday. The park is becoming one of her favorite places. She yells and laughs at the Dogs, Points at the airplanes, crawls up and down the hills, and Nicholas was helping her walk/run in the grass. She loved it! and lets be honest, we did too!

Breaking her fever & having fun!

We had a rocky start to Baines second year. On her birthday she came down with her first fever. Poor little thing was so uncomfortable and we couldn’t do anything to help. Tylenol and Motrin didn’t really help to reduce the fever. We took her to the Doctor and he said she probably caught a virus and we would just have to wait for it to work its way out of her system. After about 3 days and 3 VERY long nights the fever broke. She went back to being her funny self. It was so sad to see her in pain but I loved that she was so cuddly.

Since her birthday we’ve had tons of new fun things to play with. She loves the Swing, tunnel and Bike seat she got.

We also got her a little chair from IKEA. Its her new favorite place to drink a bottle and watch Yo Gabba Gabba. It also makes a great place to put her toys. She loves putting her friends in the seat.

We are having SO much fun with her right now. I just love this stage. She’s really funny and thinks we are too! Here are some of my favorite recent pictures.

Last night we walked to the grocery store by our house. Baines wanted to hold an apple on the way home. Nicholas cut a chunk out of the side. She chewed on it the whole way home. Then when we got home she carried it around with her all night. She was even walking around the house while eating it.

11 Months

We are leaving tomorrow on our summer vacation to Lake Powell. I wanted to do a quick 11 month update on our Baby girl.


-She has 2 bottom teeth and a top one almost poking through.

-Her favorite toy is a baby doll that she has to take everywhere. She holds on to it with a death grip so you wont take it away. Its really cute.

-She hasn't started walking yet but she does try to walk on her knees. She sits up and moves her legs like she's walking just kneeling and usually waving a toy around.

- Her favorite food and word is cheese. I ask if she wants a snack she yells "CHHHEEESE".

- and of course she is still making us laugh everyday. This baby is crazy weird! And we love it!


The invitations for her first birthday party just went out. We wish all our family and friends could be there to celebrate with us but since Utah is so far away, I'll make sure to post tons of pictures. Love you all so much and here's some pictures from our 4th of July.

Nicholas thinks she'll be the next Alicia Key's? On Saturday she was jammin with his cousin Austin.


Or she could be a furniture mover?

PS the mini temper tantrum is awesome. Girl gets frustrated easily, nothing like her mother.
