36 Weeks

At 36 weeks, I'm experiencing all the usual symptoms. Swollen feet, Kankes (that's right I have kankles), exhaustion, and forget about bending over to pick something up I've dropped. Today at work a paper fell on the floor and I left it there for almost an hour until someone walked by and picked it up for me... so sad. I cant believe how big my belly has grown over the past 3 weeks, Honestly it has almost doubled. It's also dropped quite a bit already. Just for fun I thought I should show how much I've grown.

36 Weeks- I'm not wearing shoes because they wont fit!

We have been doing some preparation for the baby to arrive. Which included watching a video from the book "The Happiest Baby on the Block". If you haven't seen it and your expecting, you must put it on Netflix. The concept is based around the 5 "S's".
1. Swaddle
2. Lay on Side
3. SHHHHH
4. Swing
5. Suck

Hopefully we leaned a lot of good tools to help us calm the baby. I was surprise that the correct Swaddle was more complicated than it looks. If you do it correctly you'll have the best success. So we practiced on Red from Fraggle Rock. I think we nailed it!

The house continues to be a thorn in our side. The inspector really pissed Nicholas off today and we have a bunch of changes before he signs off the next step. As you know when it rains it pours so our Kitchen facet decided not to work. Nicholas went and bought us a cheap one and replaced it. It wasn't a big deal but it was just enough to make us crazy!

  1. Look at how cute you are. I love your fgrowing belly. I am sorry to hear about being swollen, I hear that is miserable. Nicholas cracks me up. Hope the inspector will be happy now!!

  2. My sis-in-law swears by that book. It was the only thing that could calm my oldest niece, and she used the 5 S's on her other kids so they never had a problem. I'm stoked to hear there's a DVD! Now maybe I can get Aaron on board.
